Charlotte Moroz is a playwright, singer-songwriter, actor, and puppeteer. She recently self-funded and completed a 3-month tour of America (Taking America’s Pulse) to hear and share stories and put on improvised, interview/ethnographic theatrical experiences at each stop. Charlotte has recently relocated from New York City to California to pursue a doctorate in Mythological Studies at Pacifica Graduate Institute. Formerly based in Brooklyn, New York, Charlotte has written, performed in and produced over 10 original shows in the past 5 year with The Society for Misfit Puppets. In her tenure in New York City, Charlotte attended the Acting Conservatory at The Studio/New York, studying with Fay Simpson (Lucid Body, NYU’s Graduate Acting Program), Lucas Caleb Rooney (NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts), Sita Mani (Acting MFA Program, Columbia University School Of The Arts) and Ilse Pfeifer (Fitzmaurice). Charlotte has presented her original work at Dixon Place, Judson Memorial Church, Standard ToyKraft, Arlene's Grocery, The Aidron Duckworth Museum, and St. Lydia's Church, with a 3-year residency at Otto’s Shrunken Head stage. Charlotte has served as a teaching artist for The Puppet Kitchen and Abron’s Art Center, and a teaching assistant at HB Studios.
